Our office is situated at number 17, Krishne, which is on the 17th Main, 1st Cross in BTM Layout First Stage. If you have spent any time in Bangalore, you know that BTM is a very crowded and lively area. Finding a parking spot near our building can be a real challenge most days of the week. We are in a multi-story building and we have been here for several years. The office for Hindustan Levers Limited is busy from the moment we open the doors. We have a lot of computers and phones going all day long. The staff usually brings their lunch from home and we eat together in the small break area near the back windows. You can see the traffic on the main road from there. The walls are covered in some old charts and calendars that we haven't taken down in a while. It feels like a lived-in space. We deal with a lot of different queries and distribution issues for the region. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we all have to wait around, which gives us a chance to catch up on things. It is a typical Bangalore office life where we are always trying to stay ahead of the schedule despite the heat and the noise from the street. We don't have a fancy lobby, just a small desk where the watchman sits and points people in the right direction.
