My name is Harish Kumar M C and I’m based out of Plot 6 in the GIDC area of Gandhi Nagar. If you know GIDC, you know it’s all about industry and getting things done. There isn't much room for fancy talk or marketing here. We’re surrounded by other workshops and units, so it’s always noisy and there’s always something being moved around by trucks. I started this place because I wanted to be part of the industrial side of things. It’s hard work and the days are very long. Most of the time I’m covered in dust or grease, depending on what we’re handling that day. It’s not a clean office job. We deal with real materials and real problems. I’ve got a small crew and we just focus on the tasks at hand. We don't have a glossy brochure. If you come to Plot 6, you'll see exactly what we do. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s because we’re actually working and not just sitting around. Gandhi Nagar has been a good place for us to grow slowly. We don't take on more than we can handle. I like to keep things manageable so I can make sure the quality stays okay. It’s a tough environment but it feels good to finish a job and see it go out the gate. We’re just a small part of the big GIDC machine, but we do our bit every single day.
