Basavanagudi is a special part of the city, and that’s where you’ll find me on D P Piramal Road. My workspace is pretty simple. I’ve got a desk, a couple of chairs for visitors, and shelves filled with documents and old files. It’s not a fancy office with a receptionist or a coffee machine. If you want a drink, we usually just send someone to the corner stall for some tea. I’ve spent most of my working life in this area, so I know the streets and the people here very well. The traffic outside can be a bit much during the evening rush, but inside it stays mostly quiet. I spend a lot of my time reading through papers or meeting with folks who have questions about their projects. I don't believe in using big words or making things more complicated than they need to be. We just talk through whatever needs doing. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window if the wind is blowing the right way, but we just move the papers and keep going. It’s a very hands-on way of working. People know they can just drop by and see if I’m in. I don't really do the whole online booking thing. It’s better to just meet face to face and figure things out. That’s how we’ve always done it here at Hanumantha Reddy G, and it seems to work for everyone involved.
