H P is situated at S 84 in Sector 1 of the HMT Township over in Jalahalli. Working inside the township area gives the place a specific kind of feel, a bit like a small town within Bangalore. We have been at this location for some time now. Our space is pretty basic, just enough room for the equipment and a place for us to sit. We mostly deal with local repairs and helping people out with their technical stuff. Jalahalli is a nice area, though the traffic on the main roads can be a real headache some mornings. Most of our customers are people who live or work right here in the HMT quarters. They know they can just walk over to S 84 if they have a problem. We aren't some big service center with a waiting room and a TV. It’s just us and our tools. We try to fix things as they come in. Some days we are swamped and others are pretty quiet. We have grown to know the rhythms of the township pretty well. It’s a practical way to run a business. We don't spend money on advertising because word of mouth around Sector 1 usually keeps us busy enough. We just like to keep things simple and help our neighbors with whatever is broken. It is good work that keeps us on our toes and connected to the people living nearby.
