Green Houses India

Our office is located at 202 Infantry Road. It’s a pretty central spot, which makes it easy to get around the city, even if the traffic is a nightmare most afternoons. The building itself is older, and we’ve been in this room for a good bit of time. We work on building greenhouses, so the office is full of metal samples, glass pieces, and rolls of plastic sheeting. It’s not the most tidy place in the world. There are blueprints rolled up in every corner and a layer of dust on the windowsills that we never seem to get rid of. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or out at construction sites where the structures are actually going up. When we are here at the desk, it’s mostly to handle the billing and the scheduling. We don’t have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. If you want to see what we do, you usually have to look at the photos we’ve tacked up on the corkboard. It’s a small operation. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the paperwork before the next project starts. The noise from the street carries up into the office, so it’s never really quiet. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a practical business for people who need structures built.
