Our office is tucked away on the second floor at 17th C Main in the 6th Block of Koramangala. It is Room Number 2, so it is not a huge place at all. Koramangala is a very active part of Bangalore with lots of startups and small offices everywhere you look. We spend our time here working on various financial tasks and looking at data. It involves a lot of sitting at our desks and focusing on what is on the computer screens. The street outside is usually full of people and bikes, especially during the lunch hour when everyone comes out to the local cafes and food stalls. We do not have a big lobby or a fancy reception area; it is just a functional workspace where we get our daily things done. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a minute for the backup generator to kick in, which is just part of life in this city. We handle a lot of numbers and different reports throughout the day. It is mostly quiet inside compared to the noise of the main road just a few blocks away. We are not doing anything flashy; we just show up, do the work that is assigned to us, and head home when the day is over. It is a small team in this specific branch, and we have gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. (253 words)
