Gher Mahdi Asgher

We’ve been here on Ashely Road for a while now. It's right on the main road in Kalewadi, so it gets pretty noisy with the traffic and people passing by all day. We mostly just keep our heads down and get through the work. Gher Mahdi Asgher is just a small operation. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside if we leave the front door open too long, so we try to keep it shut. The morning commute is usually the worst part of the day because of the bottleneck near the intersection. We usually grab tea from the stall down the street around eleven. It's not a fancy place, just a regular workspace where we handle our daily tasks. Most of us live close by, so we know the area well. The building 1089 is easy to find if you're looking for it, but the signage isn't the biggest. We don't really do much in the way of decoration here. It’s just desks, some chairs, and whatever paperwork needs doing that week. Usually, we're out of here by six, unless things get backed up. On rainy days, the road outside gets some big puddles, which makes parking a bit of a headache for everyone. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of the neighborhood though. It feels like home after all these years. We see the same people walking to the bus stop every morning and the same stray dogs sleeping under the trees. It’s a very predictable life.
