Geobasic Surveys

We spend most of our time out on Sachin Road or nearby in Domlur Green Park. The office at Geobasic Surveys isn't very fancy. It's mostly just a place where we keep the tripods and levels when we aren't using them. Most mornings start early because the sun gets too hot by noon. We grab some tea from the shop at the corner and then head out. Domlur is always busy, and sometimes finding a good spot to set up the gear takes longer than the actual measurements. We've been in this spot for a while now. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we do. People come in asking about land maps or boundary lines, and we just tell them how it is. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. Usually, there's just one or two of us sitting here dealing with the paperwork while the rest are in the field. It gets dusty, especially when the wind picks up on the road. We try to keep things organized, but maps and blueprints end up everywhere. It’s just how things go when you’re busy with this kind of work. The neighborhood knows us, and we know the shortcuts to avoid the main traffic when we’re heading back. It’s a quiet enough spot once you step inside, away from the noise of the vehicles passing by. We just focus on getting the numbers right and finishing the day’s work before the light fades. We often stay late to finish up the drawings.
