Gauging Techniques

We have been running Gauging Techniques out of this spot at 442, 23rd Cross for a good number of years now. If you know the BSK 2nd Stage area, especially around 10th Main, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times without thinking much of it. We aren't a big operation with a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly just us working with different types of measurement tools and gauges every day. The workshop gets a bit cluttered sometimes because there is always something being tested or calibrated on the benches. We started this place because we knew how to work the machines and people kept asking for help with precision parts. It’s a quiet enough street most mornings until we get the equipment going. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, but we keep the tools dry. Most of our regulars are local guys from other workshops who need a specific measurement checked. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork unless we absolutely have to. Most of the day is spent at the bench with the calipers and micrometers. It is basic work but it keeps the lights on and we like being part of the neighborhood here in Bangalore. If the shutter is up, we are usually inside drinking tea or measuring something. We don't have a big sign, just the name on the wall and the sound of work coming from inside.
