Friends Graphics

Our little shop is located at Halasuru 10. We have been here for a while doing all sorts of graphic work. It’s not a big corporate studio with expensive chairs. Instead, it’s just a room with a few computers and a printer that occasionally decides not to work. We spend a lot of our time fixing layouts or trying to get the colors right for someone’s project. The neighborhood is quite lively, so there's always someone walking past the door. We get a lot of students and small shop owners coming in for various bits of design work. The smell of ink is pretty much part of the furniture now. Sometimes the office gets messy with paper offcuts and test prints scattered around. We don't really have a secretary, so we just answer the phone ourselves when we aren't busy with a design. It can be a bit stressful when we have a deadline, but we usually manage to get things out. We like being in Halasuru because everything is close by. If we need a snack or some more paper, we just step out for a minute and walk down the street. It’s a practical way to work. We don't use any fancy talk about what we do. We just show people what we can do on the screen and go from there. Most of our day is spent clicking through menus and checking proofs before we send them to the machines.
