Freelancer

Our place is called Freelancer and we are located at Nagarabhavi Dr Peter Dias Road 72. It is a bit of a trek to get here if you are coming from the other side of Bangalore, but it is a nice area. Dr Peter Dias Road is usually lined with cars, so finding a spot can be tricky. We have a small room on the ground floor. It’s nothing fancy, just some basic furniture and a lot of coffee mugs lying around. We started this because we liked the idea of being our own bosses. There are three of us here most days. We don't really have titles or anything like that. We just sit down and get to work on whatever is on the list for that day. Nagarabhavi is a good place to be, it feels more like a community than the newer parts of the city. Sometimes we go out to the small shops nearby for snacks when we need a break. We don't have any big slogans or pages that sound like a robot wrote them. We are just real people doing work for other people. Some days are stressful when there is too much to do, and other days are pretty slow. We just take it as it comes. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to do a good job so we can keep going and maybe take a vacation once in a while. That’s how we've always done things here.
