Freelance

We’re based out of Flat 103 in Regent Place, which is in the Thubrahalli area of Bangalore. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the city center, but it’s a nice enough spot near Varthur Hobli. The apartment functions as our main hub for everything we do as Freelance. It’s got that typical Bangalore apartment feel—a bit of dust from the construction nearby and plenty of green plants on the balcony to try and keep the air fresh. We’ve set up the living room as the main work area. There are three of us usually, though sometimes it’s just one or two depending on the day. We don't have a big sign outside or anything fancy. You just ring the bell for 103. The security guards at the gate know us by now. We spend most of our time staring at screens, so we try to take breaks and walk around the block. The traffic on the main road can be a nightmare, so we mostly stay put during the day. We don't have a corporate structure or fancy titles. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common around here, so we have a small backup to keep the computers running. It’s a simple, straightforward setup without any of the fluff you find in big tech parks. We handle our own cooking and cleaning around here too, which keeps us grounded.
