Freelance Consultancy

This freelance consultancy is based over at R 184 in the Concord Silicon Valley complex. Being in Electronic City Phase I means there are a lot of tech people around, but this is a pretty quiet spot for getting work done. I’ve lived in Bangalore for a long time and decided to set up my own thing here. The 560100 zip code is pretty well known because of all the big companies nearby, but I prefer doing things on a smaller scale. I mostly spend my time helping people with their projects and giving them a bit of direction when they are stuck. It’s a simple setup with a desk, a good chair, and plenty of coffee to keep me going through the day. I don’t go for all that corporate talk because it usually just gets in the way of actually doing the work. People find me when they need a different perspective on their business issues. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet gets a bit flaky, which is just part of living and working here in India. I don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist, so if someone stops by, they usually just find me working away in my room. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. I try to keep my weekends free to avoid burnout, but sometimes the work piles up and I have to put in extra hours. It’s just how it goes when you’re running your own show.
