Free Lancer

Living and working in Bangalore, especially on the Outer Ring Road, is an experience. My freelance work is based out of Sobha Iris in Deverabeesanahalli. It’s right across from the Intel office, so I’m surrounded by big tech companies, but I’m just one person doing my own thing in apartment D2 5046. The traffic outside on the ring road is legendary, so I’m quite happy to stay inside and work from my desk. I’ve been freelancing for a while now, taking on various bits of work that come my way. It’s a different pace of life than the people commuting to the big offices nearby. I don't have to worry about punch-in times or corporate meetings. Instead, I just wake up, have some breakfast, and start on whatever project is currently on my plate. It’s a bit strange being so close to these massive corporations while I’m just working solo, but I like the contrast. The building is nice and it gives me a stable place to get my head down and focus. Most of my communication is via email or video calls, so I don't really need a physical office space. Bangalore is a great city for this kind of work because everyone understands the hustle. I’ve made a decent little niche for myself here in 560037. It’s not always easy, and sometimes I miss the social side of an office, but the independence is hard to give up.
