Free Lance Public Health Consultant

I’m a public health consultant and I work from my place at 712 Doddabanasawadi in Bangalore. The 560043 area is where I’ve lived for a while, and it’s a good base for what I do. My work involves a lot of data, looking at health trends, and writing up reports for different organizations. I don't have a big corporate office; my desk is just in a corner of my home. It’s often covered in stacks of papers and health journals. I spend a lot of time on calls or in meetings across the city, but the real work happens here when I’m trying to make sense of everything. Public health is a broad field, so I end up doing a bit of everything depending on the project. Some days I'm focused on nutrition, other days it might be disease prevention. I don't have a staff helping me out, so I do all the research and the writing myself. It keeps me busy and I like the variety. Bangalore is a big city with a lot of health challenges, so there’s always something to work on. I’m not a big fan of corporate jargon, I just prefer to look at the facts and see what can be improved. It’s a simple way of working that lets me focus on the actual issues. If I’m not at my desk, I’m probably out in the community.
