Our base is in Flat 301 at Lohith Paradise Apartment, which is over in the Hoodi area of Whitefield. It’s a bit of a residential setting, but it works for us since it keeps us close to where a lot of the development is happening in Mahadevapura. The apartment is basically our office, so it feels quite personal and grounded. We have our desks set up in the main room, and there’s always a stack of drawings on the table. Living and working in Whitefield means we’re right in the thick of the IT boom, but our focus is on the actual physical building of things. We started Esencia because we wanted to do things our own way, without all the layers of a big company. Usually, the morning is spent checking emails and coordinating with our site supervisors. Hoodi can be a bit loud with all the construction nearby, but it reminds us of why we are here. People usually call before they come over since we might be out at a site. We like the local feel of being in an apartment building rather than a cold office block. It makes the whole process feel more like a community effort. We’ve gotten to know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers around Mahadevapura. It’s a busy life, and sometimes the weekends get eaten up by work, but that’s the reality of the building business around here. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay organized.
