Our office for Ernst And Young is tucked away at No 6 Cardiff Castle on Wheeler Road. Frazer Town has a lot of character and we like being in this part of Bangalore. It is not as loud as the main city center but 2nd Cross still gets its share of traffic. We have a small team here working through lists and spreadsheets every day. The building is older, so it has those thick walls that keep things a bit cooler when the sun is out. Most of us take the bus or ride our scooters to get here in the morning. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away. There is no big lobby or reception area, just some desks and chairs where we sit and do what needs doing. We usually grab lunch from the small eateries around the corner. It is a practical setup. We handle a lot of different tasks and sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming, but we just take it one day at a time. The internet sometimes acts up, which is annoying, but we manage. People stop by sometimes with questions, and we do what we can to help them out without making a big deal of it. It is just a steady routine of work and small talk in between. We are just a group of people trying to keep things running smoothly without much fuss.
