Mysore is a lot quieter than Bangalore, and we like it that way. Our office for Elcoteq Electronics India Pvt Ltd is at Ch-45, on 4th Main in Jayanagar. It’s a nice area with some trees around, though the summer heat still finds us. We have been working out of this Karnataka location for quite some time now. The building is a standard house-style setup turned into a workspace. We have different rooms for different tasks, but mostly we all end up chatting in the main area. It’s not a high-pressure environment most days. We handle the electronics carefully and keep our records in big ledgers or on the old computers we have. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to say hello or ask for help with a small gadget. We try to stay helpful. The commute is easy for most of the staff since they live nearby. We usually start the day with some tea and a quick look at what needs to be fixed or sent out. It’s a steady pace. We don’t have those big glass walls or fancy receptionists. You just walk in and see us working. It feels more like a community spot than a big company. We keep the floors swept and the tools put away at night. It is just a normal place for people who know how to fix things.
