Devaraj M V is located right on Avenue Road. If you’ve ever walked down Avenue Road, you know it’s one of the busiest streets you can find. It’s packed with shops, carts, and people looking for books or clothes. My spot is tucked in there among all the other businesses. It’s not a large place, just a small shop where I handle my daily work. I’ve been here for years, watching the street change but also stay exactly the same in some ways. The morning starts with opening the shop and sweeping the front while the street is still a bit quiet. By noon, you can barely move outside because of the crowds. Inside, it’s mostly just me surrounded by my tools and the things I need for the day. I don’t have a website or anything like that; people usually just find me by walking past or hearing about me from a neighbor. It’s a lot of manual work and talking to customers who pop in. The air is always full of the smell of old paper and dust from the road. Sometimes it gets overwhelming with the noise, but I’ve grown used to it over the decades. I don’t try to be anything I’m not. I’m just a guy with a shop on a famous road, trying to earn a living and help out whoever stops by. It is a simple way of doing things, and it keeps me busy.
