We are located at No. 11 in the Curzon Complex, right on Brigade Road. It’s a famous spot, so it’s always loud and full of people walking by. Computer Shoppe has been in this little nook for years. We are right by where Planet M used to be, for those who remember the old days. The shop is small and packed with motherboards, old hard drives, and stacks of laptops waiting for parts. There’s a specific smell of burnt solder and old plastic that never really goes away. We don't have a lot of space to move around, so we have to be careful not to knock over the towers. Most of our day is spent looking at screens or trying to find a screw that fell on the floor. Customers come in with all sorts of problems, some simple and some that take us three days to figure out. We don't have a fancy dress code; usually, it’s just jeans and a t-shirt. Brigade Road is always changing, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. We have a small radio that’s been playing the same station for a decade. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are in the shop, but it’s home to us. We just fix the machines and try to keep up with all the new stuff that comes out every month.
