City Del

City Del is a small spot over in Marathahalli. If you know the area, you know how hectic it can get with all the IT traffic and people moving around. We’ve got a pretty basic setup here. It’s not the kind of place you’d go for a fancy dinner or a corporate meeting. We just handle our daily orders and try to get things out the door. The space is small, so we don't have room for a lot of extras. We mostly focus on making sure the items are ready and the bags are packed. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve got a good rhythm now. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking, and other days we can barely keep up with the phone ringing. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who have lived in Bangalore for a long time. We know the shortcuts around Marathahalli which helps when we're in a rush. We don't spend money on fancy signs or uniforms. We just wear what's comfortable and get on with the task. It’s a simple business model. We aren't trying to expand across the whole country or anything. We just want to do a decent job for the folks in this neighborhood. It’s a bit messy behind the counter sometimes, but we know where everything is. That’s just how it goes here every day. It is home.
