C-Dot

We are based out in Electronic City, Phase I, right off Hosur Road. C-Dot has been here for a long time, back since this area was mostly empty fields and a few dusty roads. Now it’s all big buildings and traffic jams. Our place is pretty functional. It’s designed for engineering and research, so there are a lot of labs and benches. It doesn't look like much from the outside, just another block in the tech park. Inside, it’s mostly just people in shirts and trousers staring at monitors or testing circuit boards. We don't really do the whole tech startup vibe with bean bags or foosball tables. It’s more of a serious place where we build things. The canteen is okay, nothing special, but it serves decent rice and sambar. We spend a lot of time on long-term projects that take forever to finish. It’s slow work, but it’s interesting if you like that sort of thing. Hosur Road is a nightmare during rush hour, so most of us try to get in early or stay late to miss the worst of it. We aren't looking for fame or anything. We just like the challenge of making things work. It’s a steady kind of life here in the city, just keep moving forward one day at a time. It’s a long way from the old days, but Electronic City is home now.
