Our office is over in Rajajinagar 2nd Stage, specifically in D Block. We are situated on the 3rd floor of the Chythanya Maragal building at door number 951. It’s a decent enough spot on 3rd Main and we have been here for a while. Bangalore traffic can be a real pain during the rush hour, but Rajajinagar is a nice enough area once you’re off the main roads and into the blocks. We manage the Birla Sunlife Assetmanagement side of things here. It involves a lot of looking at computer screens and filing various documents throughout the day. Being up on the 3rd floor keeps us away from some of the street noise and the dust, which is good for focusing. We’ve been in this building for a bit and we have our daily routine down pretty well. We aren't a huge team, just enough people to make sure all the paperwork for the assets is handled correctly. Clients come in to check on their investments or to ask about how the different funds work. We don’t have any fancy coffee machines or expensive decorations, just a regular water cooler and some plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait their turn. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up or under maintenance, but that’s just how it goes with buildings in this part of town. We spend most of our day on the phone or working through a long list of emails. It’s a practical, no-nonsense workspace. We like being in this part of Bangalore because it feels more like a real neighborhood than those flashy tech parks on the edge of the city. We just do our jobs and try to be helpful when someone walks in with a question. There is no big mystery to what we do here. It's just hard work and keeping things organized.
