Bangalore Surveys

We do land surveys and stuff like that from our base at Plot Number 8 in Prakash Colony. Basavanagudi is a great area to work out of, even if the Jetalpur Road gets a bit crowded during the day. Most of our time is spent out in the field with our equipment, but this is where we come back to write everything down. We’ve been doing this for a long time. Measuring land isn't always as simple as it looks on paper. You run into all sorts of weird boundary issues or old markers that aren't where they should be. We just try to get the numbers right so there aren't any arguments later on. Our office in the colony is pretty small. It’s mostly filled with maps, tripods, and some old ledgers. We aren't a big corporation. It’s just a few of us who know how to use the gear and don't mind being out in the sun all day. When the monsoon hits, things slow down a bit because it’s hard to get accurate readings in the rain. People come to us when they’re buying a house or putting up a fence. We give them the facts and move on to the next job. It’s honest work that keeps us busy. If you see us out with the yellow sticks, that’s just us doing our daily rounds and trying to stay dry while we work. It’s what we’ve always done.
