Balaji Power Service

You can find Balaji Power Service on Doddagubbi Nawa Darwaja Road, right at number 1. It’s a convenient spot for us, even if the road gets a bit crowded during the day. We spend most of our time looking at power systems and trying to keep things running for people. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. The shop is filled with various parts and spare cables. We don't really have a front desk in the traditional sense; you just walk in and talk to whoever isn't under a machine at that moment. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with the work to worry about that right now. We started this because there was a need for it in the area. Most of the people who come to us are regulars from around the neighborhood. We don’t use any fancy computer systems for our daily logs; we mostly stick to the big ledgers on the shelf. It’s a simple way of working that has suited us for a long time. The weather gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a fan going near the door. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a small group of us trying to do a decent job every day. Sometimes the power goes out while we are working, which is ironic, but we just wait it out and start again. It makes for a long day.
