Balaji Civil Works

We do civil work from our base on Shankarshet Road in Pune. Our spot is in Prakash Nagar, specifically at 1767, which is a busy part of the city. There is always construction noise around here, either from our own projects or someone else nearby. We have a lot of tools and equipment scattered around, and there is usually some sand or cement dust on the floor. It is a practical space where we look over site drawings and figure out the labor schedules for the week. The traffic on Shankarshet Road is something we have to deal with every morning when we are trying to get our materials moved out to the different sites. It can be a real headache. We aren't big on office decorations; we mostly just have maps of the city and some old calendars. People stop by to talk about their building needs or to check on how a job is going. The work is physically demanding and we spend more time out in the sun than behind a desk. Even when we are in the office, we are usually talking about concrete, pipes, or bricks. It is a straightforward life here in Pune. We just try to get the jobs done without too much fuss. Sometimes the monsoon makes things difficult, but we just work around it as best as we can. It’s just us and our tools in this little corner of Prakash Nagar.
