Working as a lawyer means a lot of time spent with old books and even older files. My name is B L Sanjeev, and my office is on Jaya Chamarajendra Road. Most people just call it J.C. Road. It’s a very busy street, always crowded with vehicles and people looking for spare parts or heading towards the city center. My space is tucked away among all that chaos. It’s not a quiet library type of place; you can always hear the horns honking outside. I spend most of my mornings either at the court or preparing for it here. The shelves are packed with legal volumes that I’ve had since I started. I don’t have a team of secretaries or a high-end coffee machine. It is usually just me and the paperwork. Sometimes a client comes in and we sit and talk about their problems over a glass of water. It’s not about being the most famous lawyer in town, it’s just about helping people figure out their legal stuff. I’ve seen the road change a lot over the years, but my office stays mostly the same. It’s a bit cramped and the lighting could be better, but it’s where I do my best thinking. I don't go for flashy advertising or big promises. I just take the cases as they come and try to give them my full attention. That’s just how I work. It is a long day every day, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
