Asian Surveys

We are based in Basavanagar at a place called Gurukripa on the 1st Cross of Promenade Road. The number is 111. It’s a quiet corner where we run Asian Surveys. We have all kinds of measuring tools and tripods leaning against the walls. Our work takes us outside a lot, so the office is often empty during the middle of the day. When we are here, we are usually looking at maps or writing down figures from our field notes. The floors always seem to have a bit of dirt on them from our boots. Surveying is a dusty job, and we don't worry too much about keeping the office pristine. We have a couple of large tables for laying out blueprints. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to ask about property lines or just to say hello. It’s a friendly area. We’ve been doing this for a long time and know the local geography pretty well. We don't use any fancy talk; we just tell you where the markers are. The sun can be brutal when we’re out in the field, so we appreciate the shade of our office when we get back. We keep our gear organized so we can grab it and go. It’s a practical life, spent mostly between the dirt of the site and the quiet of the desk.
