We’ve been here at P 9 6 in the Vannerpet Def Quarters for quite some time now. Being tucked away in Vivek Nagar, right here in Bangalore, means we see a lot of the same faces every day. It’s mostly just us handling the daily tasks that come through the door. The traffic around the post office can get a bit much during the afternoons, but we’re used to it by now. The building itself isn't anything fancy, just a regular spot where we get our work done. Sometimes the power goes out, or the internet acts up, but that’s just part of living in this part of town. People often stop by just to ask for directions because they get lost looking for the defense quarters. We don’t mind helping out when we can. It’s a quiet life for the most part, apart from the usual city noise. We just keep things moving, filing papers and making sure everything is in its right place. My desk is usually covered in folders and a half-drunk cup of tea that’s gone cold. We aren't trying to change the world here; we just want to make sure the jobs get finished before the sun goes down. It's a bit dusty, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. If you’re ever near 560047, you’ll probably see our sign hanging a bit crookedly near the gate. It's just a regular workplace where we do our thing.
