We are based in Flat 501 at Mukund Vivek Paradise Apartments. It is right there on Varthur Main Road in the Munekolal area of Bangalore. Being on the fifth floor means we get a decent view of the traffic, which is usually pretty heavy during the mornings and evenings. You can hear the horns from the street if the windows are open, so we mostly keep them shut while we work. The apartment itself is basically our office space now. We have some desks set up and a small area where we keep our laptops and files. It feels a bit like a home, mostly because it is a residential building, but we’ve made it work for the business. There is a small lift that sometimes takes a while to arrive, but it gets us up there eventually. Most of us just bring our lunch from home and eat together in the small kitchen area. It is a simple setup without any fancy lobby or reception desk. We just come in, do what needs to be done for Ariba India, and head home when the day is over. The neighborhood is busy with lots of shops and people moving around, so there is always something going on outside. It is not a shiny corporate park, just a regular place where a few people work hard. We like that it’s tucked away in a residential spot because it feels a bit more relaxed than the city center.
