If you head over to Banaswadi, specifically near Phoenix Market City, you’ll find us at 19 2 6. Amma Auctioners is a busy place where things are always moving in and out. It’s not a fancy art gallery type of auction house. We deal with all sorts of practical items and equipment. Some days the warehouse is packed with furniture and other days it might be machinery or old office stock. It gets dusty and loud, especially when we are getting ready for a big day. We spend a lot of time tagging items and making sure the lists are right. It’s a lot of physical work moving boxes around. The crew here is small so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to hauling crates. We don't have a big corporate manual. We just know how to run a sale and how to handle the people who come through the door. The neighborhood is growing fast but we’ve stayed put in this spot. People know us for being straightforward about what we have. We don’t use any big words or complicated sales tactics. If someone wants to bid, they come in and do it. It’s a bit chaotic on auction days but that’s the part we actually enjoy the most. Between sales, we’re just cleaning up and preparing for the next lot.
