I have my office at number 2 on Sardar Patrappa Road. If you know the area, you know it’s a very busy commercial hub. There is always a lot of activity outside with shops and traders everywhere. My workspace is quite modest, just a simple room where I can sit down with clients and go over their legal problems. Being an advocate in such a central location means I see a wide variety of people. I mostly deal with civil matters and paperwork that local businesses need help with. The days are long, and I often find myself staying late to finish up research. It’s not the kind of job where you can just clock out at five. There are always more documents to check and more laws to look up. I don’t have any fancy decorations or expensive furniture. It’s just a place for work. Clients appreciate that I just give them the facts without any sugar-coating. The legal system can be a bit of a maze, so I just try to point people in the right direction. I’ve been on SP Road for a long time, and I’ve seen the shops around me change many times, but the need for legal help stays the same. It’s a steady, quiet practice amidst the chaos of the market outside. I just keep focusing on the files and the people who need them. Most afternoons are spent just waiting for court calls or updating client records.
