Our office is at 103 on the 4th Cross in SBM Colony. This is part of Banashankari 1st Stage. It’s a nice residential area, so it’s pretty calm compared to the center of the city. We like it here because we can actually hear ourselves think most of the time. The building is a regular house that’s been converted into an office space. It has a bit of a homey feel to it. We have a small garden area in the front where a few plants are trying to grow. Inside, we’ve got our desks set up in the different rooms. It’s not your typical open-plan office. We’ve been here for a couple of years now and we’ve gotten to know the neighbors. They’re good people who look out for each other. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn’t too bad at all. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or posters on the walls. We just focus on the work we have to do for the day and get it done. Sometimes we bring in home-cooked food and eat together in the small kitchen space. It’s a very grounded way to work. No one puts on airs or acts important here. We just deal with the daily grind and try to keep things moving forward. It’s a practical, local office for a group of people who just want to get their jobs done well without any extra fuss.
