Out here in Bellary, things are always a bit dusty because of all the industry around. We are located right here in Karnataka, zip code 583201. The work we do at Jindal Steel is pretty straightforward. We spend our days managing the inventory and talking to drivers who come in and out. It’s a lot of manual work and checking lists. The sun can be quite harsh in this part of the country, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. It’s not a corporate office with fancy chairs; it’s mostly just desks, fans, and a lot of steel. We know the local roads well. Sometimes the logistics get a bit messy, especially when several trucks arrive at the same time. We just deal with it as it comes. It's a regular job for us. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to get the steel where it needs to go. Most of the staff lives nearby, so we’ve known each other for years. It feels more like a small community than a big company. When you come by, you’ll see us just doing our thing. It's a noisy, busy place but that is just how a steel business is supposed to be. We keep the gates open and keep working until the sun goes down. It’s nothing more and nothing less than a day’s work for us.
