Hospet Steels

We operate out of the Akshaya Building in Rajiv Nagar, right there on the first cross in Hospet. It’s actually a residence too, so it doesn’t feel like a cold office at all. You walk in and it feels like a home because, well, it is one. We started Hospet Steels here because it made sense to be close to where the action is but also where we live. Living and working in the same spot means the day never really ends. You might be having tea and someone knocks on the door wanting to talk about a steel order. The streets in Rajiv Nagar can get pretty narrow, and when a delivery comes, it’s always a bit of a puzzle to get the trucks through without blocking someone’s driveway. We know all the shopkeepers around the corner and the kids playing in the street. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don’t have a front desk or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, it’s just one of us coming out from the back to see what’s needed. The Karnataka weather keeps us on our toes, especially during the monsoon when we have to make sure everything stays dry. We keep the books manually mostly, and the shelves are stuffed with old files and samples. It’s a bit cluttered and sometimes a little dusty, but we know where everything is. That’s just the way we like to run things here.
