Padhi Traders

You can find Padhi Traders over on F. M. College Road in the Azimabad area of Balasore. We are situated quite close to F. M. College, so we see a lot of students and teachers walking by every single day. The atmosphere around here is usually pretty lively because of the school. Our shop isn't very big, but we manage to fit a lot of stock into the space we have. We started out small and just kept adding more things as people asked for them. Most mornings start with us sweeping the front and getting things ready for the day. We get a lot of locals stopping in to chat or look for specific items they need for their homes or businesses. It’s a friendly neighborhood, and we’ve gotten to know the other shopkeepers on the road quite well. When the weather is nice, we leave the doors wide open to let the breeze in, though it gets a bit dusty. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people just know we’re here by word of mouth. Sometimes the college traffic makes it hard to park right in front, but people usually find a spot nearby. We keep the books in a small drawer in the back and spend our time helping whoever walks through the door. It’s a simple life running a trade business in a town like Balasore, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
