Maharishi Vidya Mandir

Maharishi Vidya Mandir is out on Bhatera Road in Balaghat. It’s a bit of a distance from the center of town, which gives us a bit more space than the schools located in the market area. We have a decent-sized building with quite a few classrooms. The walls are painted a simple color and the floors are made of plain stone. It’s a no-frills kind of place. We get students from all over Balaghat, and some even come from the outskirts. The morning starts with everyone gathering for the assembly, which is always a bit disorganized no matter how much we try to fix it. We have a staff of teachers who use blackboards and chalk to get their points across. We don't really have any computers or digital screens here. Most of our furniture is old and made of wood, and it’s been repaired many times over the years. We focus on the basic subjects and making sure the students are ready for their board exams. Bhatera Road can get a bit muddy during the rainy season, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floors. We don't put out any glossy brochures or do much promotion. People in Balaghat know who we are and where to find us if they want their children to study here. It’s just a regular school doing its part in the community every day.
