Apollo Convent English School

Up here in Balaghat, Apollo Convent English School is located in the Sahil Palace building. It’s on Baihar Road, which is a pretty well-known stretch for most folks living in the 481001 area. We aren't a massive institution with a huge field, but we make the space in Sahil Palace work for what we need. It’s an English medium school, so the kids spend their time learning their subjects in that language. It can be a challenge sometimes, but that’s just how it goes. The teachers come in early, get their chalk and books ready, and wait for the students to arrive from different parts of town. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment or high-tech stuff, just the standard desks and blackboards that have worked for years. The atmosphere is quite down-to-earth. We focus on the textbooks and the local curriculum. Being on Baihar Road, it’s easy for the rickshaws and buses to drop the kids off right near the entrance. We have a small office where we handle the fees and the admissions. It’s a bit cramped when it’s busy, but we get through the day one way or another. Most of our staff are locals who have been around Balaghat for most of their lives. We just want to make sure the kids who come here get their lessons done properly. There’s no big mystery to it, just a local school doing its thing every day of the week.
