Gurudev International Public School

Gurudev International Public School is found out on Waraseoni Road in Balaghat. It is a bit of a drive from the main center of town, but that makes it a little quieter, which is nice for a school. The road outside can get quite dusty when the big trucks go past, but we are used to it by now. We have been here for a good number of years. Despite the name sounding a bit formal, we are just local people running a place for kids to learn. We do not have a big budget for decorations, so the walls are mostly covered with the students' drawings and maps. We have a playground that gets a lot of use during the breaks. You can hear the shouting and laughing from quite a distance away. Balaghat is a place where people generally know one another, and our school is part of that. We do not have a fancy website or anyone to do our PR. We just show up every morning, unlock the gates, and get to work. The staff here are mostly from around this area, so we understand the families and what they expect. We do not talk about big visions or anything like that. We just want to make sure the kids know their subjects and can pass their exams. It is a very practical way of doing things, and it seems to work well enough for everyone involved.
