S S Brick Feild

Over in the Industrial Area near Matera Bazar, you’ll find S S Brick Feild. We are situated quite close to Janginath Mandir Road. It’s an area that stays pretty noisy with all the other businesses around, but we’ve gotten used to it. Working with bricks is a hot and dusty business. We spend our days out in the open, mostly. There is a lot of waiting for things to set and then a lot of heavy lifting once they are ready. The yard is large and filled with rows of product waiting to be moved. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning. Usually, we are just sitting under a bit of shade during our breaks, drinking tea and watching the trucks go by. The road near the mandir can get backed up, so we have to plan our day around the traffic. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and the work hasn't changed much over the years. It’s still about getting the mix right and making sure the stacks don’t fall over. Sometimes the batches don't turn out perfect, and we have to set those aside. We just try to be straightforward with anyone who comes by looking for materials. It’s a simple setup, and we like it that way. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just doing the job we know how to do every day.
