Mz Brick Field

Our brick field is out in Village Biphhla, right near the Risia Bypass. If you know where Ms Plaza is, we’re just a short distance from there on the ground level. It’s a big open space where we spend most of our working hours. The ground is usually red or very dusty depending on what we're doing that day. We’ve got the kilns and the stacking areas spread out over the lot. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is beating down on the bypass road. We see a lot of trucks going past every hour. The workers live close by, so we've got a bit of a community feel around the yard. We don't have a corporate office with air conditioning or fancy chairs. It's just a small room with a fan where we keep the accounts and talk to visitors. Most of our time is spent checking the quality of the clay or making sure the fires in the kiln are burning right. It’s a messy job, and our clothes definitely show it by the end of the day. People from around Risia know where to find us. We don't do much advertising; we just let the piles of finished bricks speak for themselves. The seasons dictate our schedule quite a bit around here. Rain is usually the enemy in this line of work because it ruins the drying process. We just take it day by day and hope the weather stays dry enough for the bricks to set properly.
