Raunak Casting is located at O-31 in the Old Industrial Area. It’s one of those parts of town where the buildings have a lot of history and the walls are a bit stained from years of smoke and grit. We like it here because it is established and everyone knows their neighbors. Our setup is pretty basic, we do casting work for various local needs. The equipment isn't brand new, but it works just fine for what we do every day. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby with chairs. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the back where the actual work is happening. The floor is usually a bit messy with molds and leftover bits of metal, but we try to keep it organized enough to get around. It is a small operation, really. Just a handful of us making sure things get poured correctly and cooled down before they go out. We don't do a lot of talking; we just focus on the molds. The air in the old industrial area always smells a bit like iron and coal, which is something you just get used to after the first week. We keep our overhead low and our heads down. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without fail. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just one that gets things done.
