The steel business involves a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the counts are right. Our yard is usually full of various bits of metal, and it can look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. The dust from the road comes in quite a bit, so we are always wiping down the desks in the small office area. It is a noisy place, especially when the trucks are backing in to unload. We don't have a lot of staff, so everyone does a bit of everything, from answering the phone to helping move the heavy stuff.
