Hillson Footwear Pvt. Ltd. is located at Plot No. 420-421 in M. I. E. Part I. If you know the industrial estate, you know it’s a lot of trucks and workers moving around all day. We spend most of our time inside the factory space. Making footwear is a repetitive process, but it keeps the lights on. The plot we have is a decent size, and we’ve filled it up with all the machines and supplies we need. It can get pretty cramped when a big shipment comes in or when we are trying to push out a lot of product at once. We’ve been at this for a bit now. The staff here mostly sticks to themselves, just getting through the shift. M. I. E. Part I is a practical place for a business like ours because everything is set up for manufacturing. We don't really have a showroom or anything polished. It’s just a workspace. The floors are concrete and the walls have some marks on them from moving crates around. Sometimes the traffic getting into the estate is a real headache, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to clock in at once. We just focus on making the shoes and making sure they get out the door on time. There isn’t much glamour in it, just the daily grind of a factory. We are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down, just keeping the production lines moving along. It works for us and keeps us busy.
