Ena Footwear (P) Ltd.

Ena Footwear (P) Ltd. is located over at Plot No. 7/8 in MIE-Part-A. We spend most of our time looking at soles and leather. It is a lot of repetitive work, cutting and stitching, but that is how shoes get made. The factory floor is usually full of boxes and the smell of glue. We have been at this for some time now. Some of us live nearby, so the commute to the industrial estate isn't too bad. We are not trying to be some high-fashion brand you see on TV, we just make footwear that people can actually walk in. The machines we use are older but they still do the job just fine. Every morning starts with a cup of tea before the noise of the sewing machines starts up. It is a steady rhythm here. We have got a small team, and everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate and we all just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. That is just part of working in MIE. We focus on getting the orders out on time. There is always a lot of dust and scraps on the floor by the end of the shift. We clean it up and start again the next day. It is honest work and it keeps us busy. We like being part of this local industrial community.
