Vidya Engineering Works

Our shop is down in the MIDC area of Chikalthana. Specifically, we are at Plot No.13 in the Service Industries Zone. It’s a big industrial patch, so it’s always noisy with trucks and machines going all day long. We started Vidya Engineering Works because we knew how to handle the equipment. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, no matter how much we sweep it. That’s just part of the job. Being in the Service Industries Zone means we are surrounded by other people doing similar work. We talk to the guys next door when things are slow. Plot No.13 isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy building with enough space for our lathes and drills. The heat can get pretty bad in the summer, especially with the machines running, so we keep the big doors open for some air. It’s a long day, usually starting before the sun is fully up. We handle a lot of small jobs for bigger factories around here. There is no corporate vibe here; it’s just grease, hard work, and making sure the parts fit like they are supposed to. Chikalthana is a busy place for industry, and we’ve fit right into the rhythm of it over the years. We just keep our heads down and get the tasks done. It’s not about being the biggest, just about keeping the workshop going.
