Venkatesh Medicines

If you come down to Lasur Station and head over to the Juna Mondha area, you’ll find us at Venkatesh Medicines. We are located right on D. T. Road at number 5. It is a busy spot, especially with the trains coming in and out nearby. The morning usually starts with a bit of cleaning and then we get right into looking at what needs to be ordered for the next day. The shop has been in this spot for a while, and the walls have seen a lot of people come and go. We keep the counters clear so there is space to lay out the prescriptions. Sometimes the D. T. Road gets very dusty when the trucks pass by, so we have to wipe down the glass cases pretty often. We have a lot of different types of medicines packed into the wooden cabinets. It isn't always perfectly quiet, as there is always someone shouting outside or a bike revving its engine. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The inventory takes a lot of time to manage because there are so many small boxes and bottles to track. We use a simple ledger for most things, and the computer is mostly for the official stuff. It’s a basic setup that works for us and the people who live around Lasur Station. We take our lunch breaks when it's slow, usually sitting right there at the back of the shop.
