Uncles Handmade Tour Packages

We are based in Shop No 3 of the Simant Mangal Karyalaya Building. This is right in the Aurangapura area, very close to the Amba Apsara Theatre. You can usually see the movie crowds when a new film comes out. Uncles Handmade Tour Packages is a bit of a different name, but it’s just because we like to do things ourselves. We don't use those big automated systems that the huge companies have. Instead, we sit down and write out itineraries for people by hand or on our old computer. It’s a small shop and it can get a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. There’s always a bit of tea being shared and plenty of talk about different places to visit. We’ve lived in Aurangabad all our lives, so we know the local spots well. Our office doesn't look like a corporate headquarters. It has an old fan that squeaks a bit and shelves full of travel books and notebooks. We aren't trying to sell anything fancy. We just enjoy the process of putting a trip together for someone who hasn't traveled much. It’s a slow way of working, I guess, but it feels more honest to us. If you’re walking past the theatre, you’ll see our small sign. We’re usually in there, probably arguing about the best way to get to a certain hill station.
