Sindhikars Agro Producer Company Limited

Our office is on the ground floor of house number 472 in Sindhi, within the Umri taluka. It’s a simple place, easy to get into since there are no stairs to worry about. We are a bunch of local guys who decided to form this agro producer company to help with our farming. In this part of Umri, everything revolves around the harvest cycle. We spend a lot of time discussing seed varieties and the cost of renting tractors. It isn't a high-tech operation. Most of our meetings happen while sitting on plastic chairs with the front door open to catch whatever breeze there is. The ground floor stays a bit cooler when the sun is really beating down on Sindhi. We handle the collection of crops and try to find decent buyers so the individual farmers don't have to struggle so much. Some days are long and we get home quite late, especially when the monsoon is coming and everyone is in a rush. We don't have a big team, just some neighbors and relatives working together. We write everything down in big notebooks and try to keep things organized. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the samples and bags lying around, but we know where everything is. We’re just trying to make a living from the land we’ve always known. We hope the next season brings good rain because that makes all the difference for us here.
