Our factory is out in the M.I.D.C. Area in Waluj, specifically at Plot F-103. If you’re driving down there, you’ll see the Power House right across from us. It’s a heavy industrial zone, so it’s always dusty and there is usually a lot of noise from the machinery. We deal with granite, which is heavy, messy work. There are slabs of stone leaning against the walls and the sound of cutting tools going most of the day. It’s not a place where you’d want to wear nice clothes. We spend a lot of time moving these big pieces of rock around with the cranes. It gets hot in the summer because of the metal roof, but we’re used to it by now. Most of our staff have been with us for years and they know the granite business inside out. We don’t have a fancy showroom here, just the factory floor and a small office space for the basic admin stuff. People usually come by when they want to see the actual stone before it’s shipped out. The address is pretty easy to find since the Power House is such a big landmark. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the slabs cut to the right size. It’s honest work, and the yard is always full of stone waiting to be processed. That’s pretty much the daily life here at Prithvi, just dealing with the raw materials and the heavy machines.
